Services:

Weddings:
When your big day has arrived I will be there to make sure the ceremony is a reflection of your love and commitment for one another. After meeting with you I will give you examples of different ceremonies and readings that you can choose to celebrate your special wedding day. It is important that each ceremony reflects the unique relationship of the couple. It can be a nice idea to include family and friends by inviting them to do readings or poems.
A rehearsal is usually a good idea as it will alleviate any nerves on your big day. This is also a great opportunity to work out accompanying music and to work out timings. I have a portable CD player, iPod dock and PA system to help your ceremony be both smooth and accessible for all.

I will be at the venue about an hour before the ceremony to ensure that the day runs smoothly. I often find myself spending a bit of time calming grooms and ensuring that the rings have arrived and the paperwork is ready. After the ceremony I will present you with a beautiful marriage certificate for you to frame as a way to remember your special day.

Commitment and same-sex ceremonies:

Love between two people should be celebrated and it is in this spirit that I have always offered commitment ceremonies, and now weddings, for same-sex couples.

Renewal of vows:

Married couples often want to reaffirm their love for one another through a renewal of their vows. I am happy to help create the perfect service for couples who want to relive their wedding day and reiterate their continued love for one another in front of family and friends. These services can also be a great option for couples who married overseas but wish to hold another service for family and friends who were unable to make it.

Naming ceremonies:

The birth of a child is a joyous occasion and a naming ceremony is a wonderful way to celebrate a new life and introduce your new child to family and friends. In our multicultural society, a naming ceremony can also be the perfect way to bring together families from different backgrounds and cultures. My role is to create a ceremony that reflects the values of the parents and the family and welcome the new baby into his or her community.
